This course is an introductory training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. We will review the 4 main pillars of DBT, which are mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. We will also introduce activities to teach these coping skills.
Learning Objectives: Participants who attend the training will learn how to do at least one activity with a client to help them develop coping skills of: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
1 NBCC CE hour offered for completion of program (Most state Professional Counselor Licensure Boards readily accept NBCC credit for licensure renewal. Other professions will need to contact their state board directly for clarification of their particular CE requirements)
